If you like CX-7, you need to consider the gas/mileage. 18/24 FWD per gallon from Mazda report. 16/22 AWD. You probably get 16/22 FWD in the real road. AWD even worse.😩
RAV4 is the most fuel economic one. 24/30 4x2 from Toyota 23/27 4x4 I got average 22 on my new 4x4 very first tank in the real road. Should get better later on.😇
Cargo space: RAV4 >(close to) CRV >> CX-7
Performance: CX-7 >> RAV4 > CR-V (RAV4 has V6 option)
I tested both CX-7 and RAV4.
CX-7 is amazing 😀😍 excellent handling. Go almost 50 mh on the speed limited 25 mh highway ramp and still good.. Transmission is smooth like silk .(does not know its reliability) Acceleration is really good on turbo charge.(may feel a little bit lag) Looks sporty and nice interior.
RAV4 is really good design for more practical usage. Really nice cargo space even compare to Highlander. Car handling is also good. Of course Toyota's reliability is better than Mazda. And gas/mileage is much better than CX-7 even you choose V6.
Then I choose RAV4 😌 because fuel economic and it has 3rd row seat option.(7 passengers) (3rd row seat is still small but for kids and small adults on a short trip are ok)
If I don't have kids, I will buy CX-7. But now gas price is high and need to think about future. RAV4 is my final decision.😞
